Audi has built the S3 since 1999. Autoknowtive’s catalog has 17 of them, from the 1999 Audi S3 to the 2025 Audi S3 Sportback. Body styles here: Hatchback and Convertible. Sold new in North America, Europe and Asia.
Power went from 210 hp in the 1999 S3 to 333 hp in the 2025 S3 Sportback. It got heavier along the way: 1,420 kg for the 1999 car, 1,575 kg for the 2021. The most powerful here is the 2025 Audi S3 Sedan at 333 hp (248 kW), more than 72% of the cars in the catalog. Quickest from 0 to 62 mph: the 2017 Audi S3 Sedan, in 4.6 s.
The first generation S3 is built on the same A platform of the Audi A3, Volkswagen Golf, Audi TT, SEAT León and Škoda Octavia. The straight-4 20V 1.8 L turbocharged petrol engine comes in two versions of power output: 210 bhp and 225 bhp.

Momentum is also available at the dynamic pinnacle of the A3 family: The S3 is joined by the Audi S3 Sportback. It has the same immensely powerful engine under its hood: The 2.0 TFSI has an output of 195 kW (265 hp); its maximum torque of 350 Nm (258.15 lb-ft) is constantly available from 2,500 to 5,000 rpm.

Dynamism in the open air - Audi presents the S3 Cabriolet. The open-top four-seater is unrivaled in its segment. Its 2.0 TFSI engine develops 221 kW (300 hp) and delivers 380 Nm (280.27 lb-ft) of torque but, with S tronic, consumes just 7.1 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (33.13 US mpg) on average (165 grams of CO2 per kilometer [265.54 g/mile]).
